Online Dating Safety for Women

Online dating can be called a funny thing and a fruitful experience for women of all ages. While engaging in online dating, maintaining your safety is a simple combination of using common sense and exercising good judgment. Online safety rules are also similar to the safety rules in the real world.

You are unable to do online dating if you are reluctant to give your details such as your name, address, phone number ..etc. when you meet a strange person in a bar or on the street. But you have to do it safely. Before you give out any detail that can make it possible for him or others to trace you, get to know about that person well. Don't tell the exact working place of you because he is a stranger. As an example, you can tell your profession and it is a department or a  company but not the name of it. It is safe to tell him about your living town, but you should be patient for giving more specific details until you have been chatting and exchanging emails for a while.

You have to use only the tools provided by the dating service that you belong to. Though most of the people offer chat and private email on their site, be careful and don't give your isp email address. You must give out a free email address such as Hotmail or Yahoo. Your isp address is traceable for anyone who wants to make you in trouble.

Think if you are lucky to have the first face to face discussion, keep in mind the first meeting should be in a public place during day hours. A friend of yours should be accompanied by you or arrange for one to call you after arranging the meeting.

Keep in mind...You should control yourself. Therefore do not let anyone press you to expose more personal details than you are relaxed to reveal.
